Match Preview - Granada Celta

Celta and Granada will meet again, but this time in La Liga.

Coming out of a brilliant victory over Getafe last saturday, Celta seems to be moving forward at a very good speed. Celta has been touted as one of the teams with a more attractive style of play, and seems to have found last match what he has been lacking for the rest of the season: dynamite. 4 points separate this two team, whom 2 years ago, where fighting on a play off for promotion, being Granada the winner, leaving a bitter flavour in Celta's throat, ot only for the loss, but for everything surrounding the match, as Granada's supporters threw stones at Celta's player bus. All the players had stated that that's the past, but surely, they still hold some bitterness for their rivals.

Granada has not been able to obtain more than 2 points in 5 weeks, and they are loking at the bottom of the table from very close. This could very well play against theirselves, as the media in Granada has stated that partience is running out in the city. If Granada does not display a great style, or gets a goal within the first 30 minutes, their supporters will probably start puting even more pressure on Paco Anquela's team. As Celta, they have been playing well, but are not finding the net easyly.

Granada´s danger comes from the sides, as both wingers and defenders have a very attacking mentality. In that case scenario, it is compulsory for Celta to hold Granada´s defenders on their marks. Celta will be safe as long as they have the ball possesion, trying to tire Granada by having them chasing the ball and by concentrating their attacks on the sides to kep defenders and wingers as close to their part of the field as possible.

Granada's attack has not been displaying a lot of accuracy lately, and not only the strikers, but the rest of the team, are realy having a hard time when it comes to finding the net. Anquela will probably use the same formation as in his last match against Barcelona, and the only doubt will be if Youssef El Harabi will be playing as a starter or not.

KEY TO THE GAME

Celta needs to have the ball and be patience, as Granada's spirit will be going don as the minutes pass. Expect the Celta to be patience, await for his oportunity and a posile mistake by Granada's defenders.

Granada is a team full of young talents capable of wining against any team, but haven't been able to put together a complete match.

CELTA'S FORMATION

PLAYERS TO WATCH:

Orellana: last year Fabian Orellana became a hero for Celtas supporters as he was one of the keys for Celta's promotion during his loan at Vigo. He said he is motivated for the game, and will surely want to prove he was worth the 3.000.000 € Granada was asking Celta for his transfer.

MKD: he has been grwing as a player as the weeks pass, and put on a classic performance against Getafe. if he had scored in that match, he was surely MoM material. He is complete in every aspect of the game, leaving Celta's supporters with the impresion that Celta made a good decission on making a move on the Danish instead of the Chilean international.
