Despite having scheduled two training session for Wednesday, and probably due to the heavy rain and wind Vigo is been suffering the last three days, they cancelled yesterday’s afternoon session.  But today it was a totally different story, the sun shined bright since minute 1.

This might be a sign of what to expect in Granada, and will allow the players get use to a hot temperature, because at 12:30 am in Granada there is a good chance to have a hot day under the sun.

The training session started with physical work, with special emphasis in speed and sprint, two of the weapons Celta has been showing as a visitor. Granada’s side defenders have a very attacking personality, and Celta must try to pay attention to this point. One way of doing is keeping the ball, and keep defenders on their marks. If Celta’s wingers win this battle there will be a lot gain both attacking and defensive wise. Paco Herrera was very clear about this, and asked the players to give it all several times.

For all the Celta´s fans realief, Park’s knee looked to be fine today at the training session. If Yestarday was a day of worries, today it was a day of reliefs. The Korean striker completed the training without almost paying attention to his knee. The only time he checked it, was when playing the usual round game. A bad pass that went to long took Park to the floor in an effort to save it, he checked when hewoke up, but everything seemed normal.

Today’s routine started late. Training session was scheduled for 10:00 am, but players did not show up until half an hour later. For half an hour players were inside the dressing room, probably at the gym. The rain delayed the preparation of the training, and thy needed to wait until raining was over.

During last summer, me and Nicolas were looking at the Olympics football games, when we found out about Celta making a bid for 박주영. I knew Park from his spell at Monaco, but lost sight of him when he signed for Arsenal. I started talking to Nicolas about him while we watched the games. We both are huge Celta fans, and started dreaming about seeing the Korean striker wearing Celta's top.

For weeks seemed as if the signing was a done deal, but it took a long time before Celta made the loan official. The day before the deadline ended, Celta confirmed that Park was a Celta player, and he was presented on Friday 31st to the supporters and media. I was talking to Nicolas about Park coming to Vigo and decided that we were going to make something special to welcome him. I had created a twitter account, and had one Korean follower that confirmed that the sign we decided to make, said what was supposed to say.

After one day off training, celta resumed their work at 10:00 m. Not many people were at the session today, as school has just started for kids in Spain.

As usual at this stage ofthe season, the physical part of the training was very intensive, but Celta's coach allways likes to mix this exercises with the ball, so players would not lost ball movement and control from their sights.

Today's training session was the most intensive one of the week. All the players, including those on international duty during the week were present at the last training of the week. 

The team will flight today to Valencia, and will face their rivals at Mestalla stadium at 6:30 pm.

Paco Herrera insisted today in counter attack. If yesterday it was all about defense, today was the total oposite. Two teams played separate, with Park attacking with the yellow top. The blue team was supposed to steal the ball and do counterattack, and they had success quite a few times. The yellow team played well on attack, and kept their goal nearly clear.

They repeted the movements for a while, until Paco Herrera decided to play with the same teams but in half the pitch, so the intensity would be even more.

Park was very focused during the plays, and was getting along very wellwith the rest of the team, even joking at the times. Even thought he has only trained twice with the team, his acoplation to the team and the ystem seems perfect.

He is travelling with the rest of the team to Valencia, and we will se if the coach decides to play him.
