Celta is coming home empty handed and with a
lot of homework to do.
Paco Herrera surprised everyone with three
changes on his starting formation. Bellvis replaced Lago, Insa replaced Alex
Lopez and Bermejo was replaced by Park. The only
change that seemed to work was Park, as Bellvis and Insa did not have a good
morning.
At the beginning, Celta seemed as if they were
still on the dressing room, leaving Granada the control of the ball, the exact
opposite of what Herrera was training. Siqueira was like a sharp knife on the
left, beating his markers all over again. And so it came the first goal scored
by Siqueira, and a second one by Torje of an assists from the left defender.
Borja Oubina started to appear, and at least
the ball got into Aspas who dribbled his marker and fired with his left foot to
score a brilliant goal. Until the end of the first half, Celta shooted another 8
times, being denied by Granada ’s defence and keeper. Augusto, who
did not have his best match with Celta, missed two clear chances, one of them
an open goal header that went over the goal.
Iago Aspas was very active during the first
half, and also had a real good opportunity when his header was saved by Granada ’s keeper. Despite all the efforts,
Celta was still down on the score card at half time.
The second half looked the same again, with
Park having Celta’s best chances to score, and with Granada defending his goal. For a total of
ten times Celta players fired at Tono, but they were denied every single time.
There is a lot of work to be done for Celta and
Park for the upcoming game against Seville starting from tomorrow.
