박주영과 셀타의 미래가 밝은 이유

After just 5 games in La Liga Celta has clarified any doubts that people may have about their chances to avoid relegation. To be fair, doubts about the team were jutiffied, as more than half of the team had nearly no experience at a maximun level. The doubt during the preseason was on wether Celta's players who had never play on top level will be able to help Celta obtain his objective. All those young players coming of Celta's Academy had shined brightly on second division, but this season was going to be a different story.

Celta's coach Paco Herrera had faid in all those young players and the list of hot prospects on Celta seems to be growing as the days passes.

Hugo Mallo (Right Defender): with just 20 years of age, he has played more than 100 prfesional games for Celta and is international for Spain on his U-21 squad. He has played 4 out of 5 games, missing one due to an injury.

Roberto Lago (Left Defender): Roberto has attracted the attention of times like Valencia or Betis. He has played 5 out of 5 games. He has shown some shadows like the rest of the defense, but has been improving game by game.

Andres Tuñez (Central Defender): the Venezuela international is dominant on the air, and has an exquisite touch to play the ball from the back. With just 25, he seems to have a bright future ahead of him. He has showed some problems at the beginning of the season due to a bad coordination with Cabral. Played 5 out of 5 games.

Alex Lopez (Central Midfielder): Alex has shined last year playing with Oubiña on the midfield. Sometimes Herrera likes to play him as an attacking midfielder. This season seems to have paid the rookie fee, as he has not been able to perform in such a good way. He has his moments, but lacks some consistency. Played 5 out of 5 games.

Borja Oubiña (Central Midfielder): 7 years ago Oubiña was International with Spain, and one of the best Central midfielders of the league. He was targeted by teams like Real Madrid or Liverpool, but he blew up his knee, and after 3 years recovering, he came back to help Celta win promotion, being the captain of the team, and the leader of the squad. Played  5 out of 5 games.

Iago Aspas (Striker): after netting more than 25 goals last season, Aspas presented his credentials on his first match on the division. He has been shinning since day 1, and has been on top form ever since. He is one of those players that ove the Club, and has stated that he will play in Vigo as long as Celta wants. Hero for the kids. Played 5 out of 5 games.

But this is not the only reason on why the future is bright for Park and Celta. During the transfer widow, Paco Herrera had a pretty good idea on what he wanted to add to the team: experience. That experience was lacking in most of the Celta's young players, and Herrera felt was something that needed to be adressed: add experienced man to the squad that will help the young players to pay the rookie fee. 5 top level players where added to the squad: Javi Vara as a Goalkeeper, Gustavo Cabral as a defender and Augusto Fernández as a Right Winger.

But two players have seem to increase the level of this squad more than others. Michael Krohn Dehli and 박주영. The Danish international who came from Brombdy has shown he is in top form. He is an experience player able to read every situation with perfection. He has a thing for reading deffensive systems and solve thwm like a jigsaw. He can score, assist, deffend,... he is nearly perfect on every task.

And then it is 박주영. Park arrived at Vigo to find an Oasis, after beeing sidelined for unknown reason by Arsenal's coach, Arsene Wenger. Touted as the best Korean striker of all time, Park took no time to prove why he has so many expectation around him. He has shown the biggest implication that you can ask a player, and after just a week of training with the team, he looks like he has been playing with the reast of the squad for ages. Sometimes when you get a player on loan, there is that risk that motivation might fall when things don't go right, but that does nt seem to be the case with Park. His motivation is second to none, and so is his commitment with the team.

With all those facts in play, it seems as if bth Park and Celta will be looking at a bright future, probably brighter than avoiding relegation, but we will see as the season progresses.
