For one and a half week Park has been away on international duty, and believe me when I tell you it has seemed like an eternity. The fact that there was no football this past weekend made the wait even longer. But today, at 9:32 am, Chu-Young Park arrived to the training centre driving his Citroen. The morning was very chill but that did not prevent the Korean Striker from wearing a short leaves t-shirt. He looked a bit tired, but that’s normal considering the trip he has been going through and the jet lag.

Park found his team mates in good spirit, and this positive atmosphere will surely help him overcome Korea’s loss against Iran. The rest of the team still has the taste of victory on his mouth, as Celta won last league game against Sevilla, and a friendly game against Lugo, this one while Park was away.

Paco Herrera had a new ally on the mist, as it was so thick it helped Celta’s Coach to prevent anyone from seeing his attacking tactics.

The training session was divided in two parts, the physical and the technical part, with the physical part being present as well in the rest of the routines. But  Celta’s coach left something pretty clear, and that was that Celta needs to keep ball possession to be able to have a chance against Real Madrid. When Celta players were playing the usual round game, Paco Herrera insisted in the team defending to put a lot of pressure on the attacking team, and Celta’s coach made them play in a very small piece of terrain, to make his players be able to think fast either defending or attacking.

Although Albiol seems in better shape, Jose Mourinho seems to have eyes only for the Frenchman.

At that moment, no one could predict what Mostovoi was going to mean for Celta, but as well that moment reflects the change of mentality in that team, cause that’s when they hit the bottom.

Celta will lock horns with CD Lugo in a friendly match scheduled for this afternoon at Balaidos. This match will let Paco Herrera evaluate the condition of those players that had played less or no minutes this season. It will be an interesting situation, as the lights will be on two players who want to see, but for two different reasons. Samuel Llorca is set to make his debut with the team in La Liga, something strange when you consider Celta paid 500.000 € for his transfer, but he never gained Herrera’s trust. On the other hand we have Joan Tomas, who has been out of the team since Park’s arrival, and already complained to the media about this situation. I have seen Joan lacking motivation on the training field, and this could be his last chance to prove he is first division material.
