Celta lost to Almeria in the first leg of
their match up with Almeria by 2-0. Despite controlling most of the game,
Celta was unable to shot at goal more than once during the whole game. This
lack of power on the attacking line ballasted Celta during the entire 90
minutes.
Despite the fact that referee influenced
the game by not sanctioning Almeria’s keeper penalty to Quique De Lucas, which would have meant
Almeria’s player sent off, Celta could not prove his theoretical superiority
over a lower division rival.
Celta presented a starting line-up with all
reserve players, including Park Chu Young who ad not been a starter for the
last games, and had his opportunity to shine in this game, and give Paco
Herrera reasons to play him in Celta’s next games. Park could not meet the
expectations, and played a low profile game, being unable to connect with the
rest of his team mates for the whole 90 minutes. He had a couple of good plays,
but either the keeper or bad timing when connecting with De Lucas, prevented
Celta from taking anything out of those plays.
The Korean star can not be happy about
today’s game as the main problems for Celta came from the lack of power
attacking wise. The good news came from the good game playes by Celta’s Academy
players Madinda and Jhony Castro, who both completed a good game, and proved to
have a very bright future. But Celta suffers without the ball, and against
Almeria Celta was not able to bring the ball forward with clarity.
Wingers did not have their night, and the
changes after the sent off did not work for Celta. Paco Herrera was praying for
some players to prove him wrong when he did not give them any minutes during
the season, but some of them did completely opposite, like Dani Abalo, who is
probably already on his way out of the Club during the Winter transfer window. Others,
like Joan Tomas where more intense than expected and surely gained another
chance to prove he is First Division material.
Bad news came in for of injury, as Samuel
Llorca sustained a light sprained knee, and is serious doubt for the game
against Barcelona this Saturday, and counting on Cabral’s ban, and if finally
Samuel is not available, Herrera will face the game with just two central
defenders available, and will have to improvise to have some back-up for the
game.
Celta will be travelling directly to
Barcelona where they will train at FC Barcelona training facilities for the
bext two days before facing Barcelona this Saturday.
thank you very much~~:)
ReplyDeleteEven Messi wouldn't have scored in this situation. A soccer game is not about a 'one man show' kind. It's about team play. Any striker needs a good support from other team players.
